I had my first microblading appointment with TK this week and let me just say I was absolutely blown away afterwards! What is permanent makeup?PERMANENT MAKEUP OR PMU is a type of cosmetic tattooing that utilizes pharmaceutical-grade pigments for long-lasting results that perfectly complement your skin tone and appearance. It is a technique using a sterile cartridge and machine to deposit pigment in a top-down motion. Unlike a traditional tattoo, which is permanent, the coloring from this service may last for up to 3 years. A touch-up is required 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment.

How long does this service last?Depending on your skin type and care, the pigment will fade slowly over 18-24 months.

How long does this service take?The appointment takes anywhere from 1.0-2.0 hours depending on your skin.

Is this service painful?The service can be a little uncomfortable for those who are more sensitive. However, there is an anesthetic applied to keep this to a minimum to where it is completely tolerable.

Are there any pre-existing conditions that interfere with this service?You are not eligible for this service if: you are Pregnant. you are Breastfeeding (treatment is possible, though anesthetic will not be possible) you are On keloids or if you have a tendency to keloid, birthmarks, or moles. you are Diabetic. you have been diagnosed with cancer, epilepsy, or any other serious autoimmune disorders or diseases. you have Circulatory disorders (doctor's note is required) you have Any bleeding disorders (doctor's note is required) You're taking blood thinning medication you are Currently on Accutane or other strong retinoids (must wait until 6 months after treatment ends) you have any skin disease symptoms or irritation appears on the area. You've recently had Botox or Disport treatment (must wait 2 months) You have a broken capillary in the TREATED area you have a sunburn. you have recently been waxed (must wait at least 3 days) you have recently had chemical peels (must wait two weeks)

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my service?Yes, please avoid the following before your service: Do not drink coffee, alcohol, or energizing drinks on the day of treatment. Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment. Do not take omega-3 (fish oil) 1 week before treatment. Do not tan or have intense sun exposure 3 days before treatment. No waxing 2-3 days before treatment. No chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser, or any other intense treatments 2 weeks before YOUR treatment. Shower and fix your hair as you need to take extra care not to get your brows wet for several days.
